Living Without's Favorites: Pour It On
San-J, the company whose gluten-free soy sauce put Chinese cuisine back on the celiac table, now offers gluten-free sauces to broaden dinner choices. Available in several zesty flavors, these sauces enhance every food they touch. Hot and tangy Asian BBQ brings a smoky flavor to fish or stir-fry. With ginger, plum and sesame, Szechuan Spicy adds new dimension to steamed vegetables, rice or chicken. Sweet and Tangy imbues foods with a hint of honey and fruit juice for a tropical flavor. Thai Peanut is terrific on chicken or tossed with spaghetti or rice noodles. Teriyaki is a great marinade, especially for chicken or steak. Available in most grocery stores.

Also, for those who are allergic to soy, Coconut Secret has coconut aminos (soy sauce alternative) that tastes surprisingly like soy sauce. I have found that at Whole Foods. They also have a website if you do a search for them. I have used it in recipes as well as for dipping. If you're allergic to soy and, therefore can't use the above products, I would assume you could also make your own soy-free dipping sauces by using the coconut aminos as an ingredient.
