A thriving and dedicated gluten-free bakery in the Chicago area, Sweet Ali’s is the pride and joy of Ali Graeme. After both she and her teenage son were diagnosed with celiac disease, Graeme vowed to pursue her baking passion with some pretty sweet results. The bakery offers a wide variety of goodies available online ($2 to $12), including brownies, snickerdoodles, pound cakes, hot dog buns and hamburger buns. Add to that the convenience of Sweet Ali’s bake-at-home mixes for cakes, brownies, pancakes, cornbread and pizza crust. All are easy to use and give delicious results. We found that the mixes for yellow and chocolate cakes are moist and tender; the brownies are rich and satisfying. Whether you buy or bake, this is one sweet deal.
