Catching Your Breath During an Asthma Attack
Asthma occurs when airways are narrowed, inflamed and/or filled with mucus. Symptoms include:
¡ Coughing, especially at night
¡ Wheezing
¡ Shortness of breath
¡ Chest tightness, pain or pressure
Not all symptoms necessarily occur at once. Symptoms can change over the course of an episode and can vary from one episode to another.
