Living Without Favorites: Gluten-Free Beer

Quench your thirst with a frothy, cold beer. The selection of gluten-free brews available in the United States is growing and here’s a new favorite—Green’s Beer. Inspired by strong European beer and developed using a closely guarded secret recipe, Green’s is made with millet, rice, buckwheat and sorghum. No barley and no wheat. This Belgium import is available in three varieties. Amber Ale, medium-bodied with subtle caramel and nut-flavor nuances, is perfect with chicken and fish. Dubbel Ale, with a hint of dark sugar, pairs nicely with cheese and lighter fare. And Tripel Ale, a blond beer with a fairly light body, is great with grilled burgers or steak. Try one or all three and raise a pint of cheer to gluten-free beer! Imported by Merchant du Vin.
