Granola
Having tried the GF granolas in the stores, and feeling cheated for the amount of money I spent on boring granola, I have to learn to make my own. Here 'tis: Granola This recipe will make loose granola that is suitable for adding to a bowl of your favorite store-bought cereal. Add some dried fruit for a sweet bite in the spoon. The dry stuff ¼ cup brown sugar 1 cup slivered almonds 1 cup cashews ¾ cup sweeten coconut ¾ tsp kosher salt 3 cups GF rolled oats (Not quick oats) If you use salted nuts, reduce the salt accordingly.
- Mix the dry stuff thoroughly
- Mix the wet stuff with the dry stuff
- Spread the mixture in a Cookie pan with a nice lip.
- Bake at 250 degrees 1:15 - stir and spread every fifteen minutes
- Cool for one hour before bagging it up - stir for the first five minutes to keep it from sticking to the pan.
